A coalition of religious, labor and social justice organizations is planning a rally and march Saturday in downtown Charleston.

The "Take Back America Rally" is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. at the Robert C. Byrd Federal Building in downtown Charleston.

The coalition is called West Virginians United, which includes the West Virginia Council of Churches, West Virginia Patriots for Peace, Coal River Mountain Watch, West Virginians for Affordable Healthcare, and West Virginia Citizen Action.

Representatives from these groups will speak about the war in Iraq, workers' rights, health care for all, and other issues.

After the rally, participants will be invited to march to the AFL-CIO headquarters for a separate event involving several politicians, including Sen. Robert C. Byrd, D-W.Va.
